2027 Aprilia SR GT 400

$7,249.00

It blurs the scooter/motorcycle boundary: agile and fun in the city, composed on twisty roads, capable of light adventure duties, and practical enough for commuting or longer trips. In short, the SR GT 400 is great because Aprilia applied serious chassis, suspension, and braking components from its motorcycle lineup to a capable 400 cc scooter platform, resulting in a refined, engaging, and versatile machine that feels a step above most rivals in handling and character.

Description

The Aprilia SR GT 400 stands out as a crossover/adventure scooter that delivers genuine motorcycle-like dynamics, strong performance, and practical everyday usability in a stylish package. Motorcycle DNA in a Scooter, feels more like a real motorcycle than a typical scooter. It uses a high-strength steel double-cradle frame for excellent rigidity, paired with a 41 mm upside-down (USD) fork (derived from the RS 457, with double-plate mounting) and twin gas-charged rear shocks with separate reservoirs. Both ends offer 120 mm (4.7 in) of travel.

This setup delivers precise, agile steering, strong feedback, stability at higher speeds, and confidence in corners or on imperfect roads. It handles direction changes quickly and remains planted, even in wet conditions. The high ground clearance of about 190 mm (7.5 in) and adventure-oriented tires further set it apart for light rough-road or bumpy urban use.

Strong, Usable Performance, 399 cc liquid-cooled, four-valve single-cylinder engine (revised Piaggio HPE unit with longer connecting rod, lighter piston, and PCV) produces 36 hp (26.5 kW) at 7,500 rpm and 37.7 Nm of torque at 5,700 rpm. At a claimed wet weight of just 186 kg (410 lb), it offers one of the best power-to-weight ratios in its class.

Acceleration is lively (claimed 0–60 m in 5 seconds), with smooth, progressive delivery that’s strong from low revs for city traffic yet capable of comfortable highway cruising and confident overtakes. The CVT works well, and the overall package feels refined with limited vibration.Comfort, Practicality & EquipmentIt balances sportiness with daily usability:

  • Adjustable windscreen (five positions, adjustable while riding).
  • Manageable ~820 mm (32.2 in) seat height and good ergonomics (wide adventure-style bars).
  • Underseat storage that fits a full-face helmet, plus USB-C charging and keyless ignition.
  • 12-liter tank with claimed range over 300 km / ~186 miles and efficient consumption (~3.8 l/100 km).

Electronics include a 5-inch TFT display (with optional Aprilia MIA smartphone connectivity for navigation, music, and voice commands), Bosch dual-channel ABS (switchable), and Aprilia Traction Control (two levels, fully disable able). Braking uses a strong 300 mm front disc with radial four-piston caliper (shared with the Tuareg 660) and a 240 mm rear disc.

Style and Character is pure Aprilia—sharp, muscular lines inspired by the RSV4, Tuono, and Tuareg family, with a triple full-LED headlight setup, upswept exhaust, and an imposing yet sleek stance. It looks premium and distinctive rather than generic.

Price does not include $800 destination fee, setup fees and taxes if applicable.
